A dragon is coming to Wakefield this August bank holiday! Join us for a spectacular free outdoor performance as part of Our Year – Wakefield District 2024. On Friday, August 23rd, and Saturday, August 24th, will roam Wakefield City Centre, hatching at Wakefield Cathedral. On Sunday, August 25th, enjoy festivities at Pugneys Country Park, with a stunning finale as the world's largest human-operated puppet takes flight. Over 20 community groups and 300 participants will join the celebration. Note: No parking at Pugneys on Sunday; use the free shuttle bus from Wakefield, Hemsworth, and Pontefract.
