It offers adventures for visitors of all ages. From miles of scenic paths and trails for horse riding and cycling to the fantastic playground, you'll find something new on every trip.

There are over 40 rooms to explore within and there are vast amounts of treasures to be seen. You will be able to uncover the stories of the people who lived here as you walk in their footsteps. Here you will learn about the notorious Lord Darnley and find out how generations of one family developed the house over 30 years.

has 1,500 acres of stunning woodland, parkland and gardens to roam in and here you will find countryside tranquillity. There are three lakes set within the grounds and each has a different feel. The lakeside gardens provides the perfect setting for a family picnic.

Home Farm is definitely worth a visit as it is an award winning rare breed conservation farm and is a great day out for families. You can get hands on with piglets, chicken and geese which run through the yard. On special event days enjoy traditional crafts, activities and demonstrations, such as butter making, bread-making, scone-making and blacksmithing. There’s even an amazing playground for the kids to let off a little steam.

They have a varied programme of events and there is lots on to keep children entertained during the school holidays. So far this year they have hosted Springtime babies, where you could meet the newborn animals on the farm. These included baby chicks, lambs and piglets. In July they will be holding a 'Time Travellers Living History Weekend' and during the Summer holidays they will have loads of trails and craft activities to enjoy. Watch out for the 'Amazing Animals Week' with some special guests at the farm.
