Fantastic family fun
[Link http://www.flamingoland.co.uk/theme-park.html ] is so much more than a theme park. Not only does it have rides tailored to all ages, it has an amazing zoo and conservation area and a fantastic holiday village. With a ride range of facilities and types of accommodation available and access to a splash park, this makes staying for an extended time a very exciting opportunity.
The theme park area has eight unique themed areas. With so much to do and experience within each one you will find one day here is just not enough. There are eight main 'extreme' rides for the adrenaline junkies amongst us. These include; Mumbo Jumbo, Hero and Kumali. The dino-stone park is a fab area for any dino enthusiasts as it includes a number of dinosaur themed rides, animatronic dinosaurs and interactive play experiences.

Our favourite part of the theme park was the Peter Rabbit themed area. This was more of a playground than a ride extravaganza and suited my toddler to the ground. The characters came to visit at regular intervals and there were opportunities to meet and great each one.
Throughout the day there was a number of live shows and the Pirates of Zanzibar greets you as you first walk through the gates. This contained breathtaking acrobatics, swordplay and magic! They also hold events here with star guests so that you can extend your day and party into the night. Party in the Park has been a firm favourite for many guests and has included the likes of Scouting for Girls, Heather Small and Union J. Check out their events calendar for more details [Link http://www.flamingoland.co.uk/plan-your-visit/party-in-the-park.html here].

The zoo and conservation area here is also worth spending a considerable amount of time in. It is the UK's most visited zoo and you can definitely see why. It is home to tigers from the tropical forests of South East Asia and giraffes from sub-Saharan Africa. They have an amazing new penguin pool too and lots of farm yard animals in the Muddy Duck Farm. We loved riding on the monorail and seeing all the animals from above! Next time we visit we want to sign up for one of the regular handling sessions as we saw a few of these happening whilst we were there and they looked like lots of fun. The visitors really got up close and personal with their favourite animals.
