Buckets of fun for everyone
If you are looking for a different day out, then Diggerland is definitely the one for you. It hails itself as the ultimate adventure UK theme park experience. Here children and adults alike can ride, drive and operate real diggers, dumpers and other full- size construction machinery.
The park is aimed at children aged between four and fourteen, but they do have visitors of all ages, who have enjoyed a great day out. They also host adult corporate events and fun days if you are after a child-free day. There are twenty different rides and drives for everyone to get involved in, but, some do have height restrictions. This is the ideal theme park if you are looking for something exciting and truly unique.
Diggerland is split in to different areas and each part gives you an opportunity to take part in digger related activities. If you have ever wanted to drive a JCB now is your chance. Up to four people can drive round a course, with an accompanying marshal. There are also smaller diggers for you to practice digging, scooping and dropping lots of mud!
The rides at Diggerland are not to be missed. They have the Groundshuttle ride - a purpose-built carriage mounted on the front of a JCB Telehandler, a Dig-a-land carousel made from adapting a JCB 8060, go-karts, mini landrovers and tractors and a safari. The most impressive of all of the rides has to be the Diggerland Skyshuttle. This allows you to enjoy breathtaking, spectacular views like you’ve never seen them before. The Diggerland Skyshuttle will raise you safely and securely 50 feet up in the air to give you a bird’s eye view of the rural countryside surrounding the park.
