At home with Father and Mrs Christmas

[Link https://harewood.org/ Harewood House] is hosting some fabulous experiences during the festive period. Be prepared to enter a Christmas dreamscape that extends from the House into the surrounding grounds, with festive-themed music, events, demonstrations and experiences, including a magical visit to Father Christmas.



They have a truly exciting encounter for all the family to enjoy, whereby children get to visit Father Christmas' cottage. Here you will be warmly welcomed by Mrs Christmas and get to take part in stories and songs. You will meet Father Christmas and receive a personalised traditional gift. You can also take part in special Christmas treasure hunt round the House!



As part of your experience you get access to the House and grounds so you will have plenty of time to explore the dream-inspired installations in the main House, both on the State Floor and Below Stairs. There will be lots going on during your time here with a programme of family events running through the day.



They have a 'Twilight Treat' package available too, which includes all the above plus a hot chocolate and tasty festive treat with Father Christmas (and a mulled wine for grown-ups!). Time slots for this are 4:00pm and 5:00pm on weekends leading up to Christmas.



The 'Festive Afternoon Tea' is also an option if you want to do something a little different this Christmas. It is held in the newly opened Billiard Room at Harewood, and it offers you the opportunity to indulge in a festive selection of fine savoury treats and sweet delights. The children's version includes; a selection of miniature savoury sandwiches, cheese straws twists, luxurious Christmas chocolate and caramel milk shake with whipped cream or raspberry or strawberry milk shake with whipped cream, Rudolf cherry Christmas scone, snowballs and Santa macaroons, wrapped handcrafted Christmas biscuit to take home and a selection of juices!
