Make the most of your day by getting an entrance ticket to both the house and gardens. You can admire sumptuous interiors furnished with world renowned works of art, before exploring the monumental gardens with statues, lakes, temples and fountains. Geoffrey the Lion has created a fantastic illustrated trail to help you discover the grounds in an exciting and adventurous way. He has created a spotter sheet to help you identify items in the house, a woodland trail in the grounds and puzzles to complete along the way.

One of the key activities to do whilst at Castle Howard is riding the land train through the grounds. This takes you to the lakeside play area. Here you can let off steam on the swings, slides, towers and bridges of the high-energy adventure playground.
