Burton Agnes Hall And Gardens

The perfect English house

Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens is a fun filled family day out. The Hall boasts magnificent architecture and an impressive collection of art and it sits in beautiful, award winning gardens. Children of all ages will enjoy the woodland sculpture walk and the giant games, not to mention the yew tree maze!

Agnes Hall is extremely family friendly and they have informative guides on hand to answer any questions you may have about the history and contents of the Hall. Don't forget to pick up one of the children's guidebook, which are available from the visitor desk, along with the Burton Agnes guide book. The explorer's guide will take children on an engaging trail around the Hall, with fun activities to complete along the way.

The beautiful, award winning gardens of Burton Agnes Hall offer something for everyone and are a truly beautiful sight. To the south of the Hall lies the old Elizabethan walled garden containing over four thousand different plant species. They also have a jungle garden, a yew tree maze and giant board games for children and adults alike.

To the north of the house is the woodland sculpture walk of about a mile long and this will take little legs just under 30 minutes to complete. Amongst the trees children can look for giant caterpillars, squirrels and spiders and other creepy crawlies!

They run a series of events throughout the year including; Easter Egg Hunts, a Vintage Rally, Farm Sunday and Spooky Woodland Trails. The festive period that runs from mid-November and throughout December is not to be missed. They have a festive programme of events and beautiful handmade and natural decorations adorn the Hall.
